Who is this class for?
You are currently learning Luxembourgish, you are motivated to master the language and have level A2 or even B1.
However, do you feel frustrated because you have nobody to speak with on a regular basis? Relax, you are not the only one. Most of our students feel like you as they are not surrounded by native speakers or they live in Luxembourg city where other languages are mostly spoken in shops and restaurants and in offices.
You have completed or are studying level A2 and you would like to actively speak Luxembourgish on a regular basis, then join our Small Talk Conversation Class

You have completed or you are studying the level B1 and you would like to speak Luxembourgish on a regular basis.
Then join our Small Talk Conversation Class Schwätz mat eis B1!
The focus of our conversation classes is on actively practicing and improving your oral skills and finally gaining confidence in speaking. And this by having fun!
This is neither a study or grammar course nor a Sproochentest preparation.
How does it work:
Topic Discussion (45-50 minutes)
- Prior to each session you’ll get the topic of discussion (with questions and useful vocabulary)
- During each session you will speak with other participants about the given topic (Q&A sessions).
- You’ll also get a set of taboo cards*
- The sessions are online (Zoom) with 5-7 participants.
- You’ll get feedback on your oral skills from an experienced coach of our team
Example of topics A2:
Meng lescht Vakanz, Hausdéieren, Sport, Noperen, den Handy, de Kaffi
Example of topics B1:
E Rot ginn, meng Kandheet, Geld, mäin Heemechtsland, mam Fliger reesen, mäi groussen Dram
Taboo (10-15 minutes)
Each session will end with the game Taboo. In this game, one player has a card listing five words:
- The first word is the secret word. The aim of the game is to get one of the participants to say this word. The student with the card will need to describe this word until another student figures out the secret word.
- The other four words are the most obvious words that you might use to explain the secret word. They are all “taboo” and cannot be used in the student’s description of the secret word.
Taboo is a great way to challenge you to expand your vocabulary and also think outside the box. You will also have great fun playing, while also improving your speaking and communication skills!

- Mondays from 18h00-19h00
- Thursdays from 12h00-13h00
